Right. These guys were a bunch of dumb mother****er frat-boys
using an unsecure medium (text messaging) to engage in illegal
activities - including advertising big sales and reduced prices
on cocaine. No carrier makes any guarantee that such messages
are secure; why these dumb bastards thought they might be is
anyone's guess. My guess is chronic ignorance; perhaps drugs
were involved.
Life is hard; it's even harder when you're stupid. These morons
got what they deserved for their idiotic "business practices".

This tells us much.

The Jupiter Effect, written by two otherwise sensible astronomers in
1974, predicted dreadful effects on our planet as a result of a March 10,
1982, "alignment" of planets. When the date came and went, no one
noticed. One of the authors re****ted that some earthquakes which had
occurred in 1980 had been the "premature result of The Jupiter Effect,"
and the public yawned in amazement.
