No, it wouldn't.  Earth is losing its atmosphere and that is irreversible.
Why Gore and Rothschild believe that culling 4/5ths of the world
population
will resolve human extinction is beyond silly.  It's down right crazy.
Besides, carbon-based life won't be able to live on Earth.
