Subject: Take A Lesson From The Rabbit and Lemming.
June 22, 2008.
I my humble opinion (IMHO) humans are like rabbits.
Rabbits sit around and run around chasing one another
and reproducing until you can hardly take a step
without without stepping on one of those furry
critters. When there are so many of them that there
is not enough food for them then they catch the rabbit
fever and most of them die until you only havea very
few left and they then start over the cycle again.
When I first came to Sonora, Calif. there were a lot
of nice jack rabbits running all over the place. Then
they all of sudden died off and I didn't see a rabbit
around here for about 12 years. This year I finally
saw another one that had been killed on the road.
We as human are very similar to this. We reproduce
till we run out of food and then something comes along
called Anthranx sometimes called the Black Death. It
kills about 2/4 of the population and then we start
over again. At another time we had too many people
and there came the flue. It killed 2/3 of the people
and we then started the cycle all over again.
Please take a lesson from the Lemming which is a wild
gerble or a sort of mouse type critter. They live
over in an area like Iceland. They breed and have a
lot of fun till there are too many of them. They then
get together and start jumping into the ocean. It
seems that they are trying get to a place out there
that doesn't exist anymore. When they get tuckered out
they drown and stink to the bottom of the ocean. There
are a few lemmings that don't think it's very smart
to go jumping into the ocean and they choose not to
go with the crowd. They stay alive and start the
reproduction cycle over again. Of course there will
be some people who know why the lemming jump in the
ocean but most people don't know why they do this.
On saturday night June 21, 2008 they talked about
this problem of over population on the Coast To Coast
AM radio show. They discussed it quite a bit and
brought out quite a few points on the subject.
Here is some information I found by going to
google.com and typing in the words,
world population
and looking down at the first entry.
........................................................
........................................................
Population by continent as a percentage of world
population.
The "world population" is the total number of living
Humans at a given time. As of
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_21
June 21 2008 the world's population is believed to be
6,704,845,726. In line with population projections,
this figure continues to grow at rates that were
unprecedented before the 20th century, although the
rate of increase has almost halved since its peak of
2.2 percent per year, which was reached in 1963.
The world's population, on its current growth
trajectory, is expected to reach nearly 9 billion by
the year 2042.
