OBVES knows he has some serious issues and that he needs help, yet refuses

to seek treatment or help. It was explained to him that AA is free and 
mental health clinics have sliding scales for the uninsured. But instead
of 
doing something to help his situation he sinks deeper and deeper into the 
quicksand.
