We cannot interpret the Bible superficially as it it is the most
complex book we have in the world . You missed that Jesus was speaking
in the Present Tense ! He did  not say he would not know in the far
future . He is now in heaven and there is no need to hide the timing
of his coming by God . Use common sense .

When Jesus was walking on the earth it was a mute point.

How could he tell just who would be visted today when that was
2,000 years before today.
He visited many in the last 2,000 years did he not? or there would
not even be a Christian Church today.
I like all other Beleivers am the real Christian Church today
and yes each one of us has been Visited By the Risen Lord Jesus
Christ.
