I don't know that there would have to be a whacking. Dallas was
relatively new to have a Mob influence. Until Ruby and some others came
there wasn't any. And well, they weren't Italian, so I guess there would
be the non-Italian gang vs. Marcello, and his Dallas underlings Civello
and Campisi. I don't know much about that, and Marcello was tight with
Dallas big shots like big oil folk, and don't really know when all that
developed. Anyway, it would seem that Ruby didn't have a problem working
with all three groups, and generally the Mob families have major rows
against their own as opposed to other gangs.
