To my knowledge no one ever offered to pay a policeman to "SPILL THE
BEANS " with the exception of officer RC Nelson, who wanted to tell
his story for PAYMENT.
In 1984, author, Henry Hurt met Nelson in a parking lot in Corsicana
Texas, where Nelson was in provate business. Nelson told Hurt that he
had waited a long time to tell his story for the record but not
without payment. Hurt never got the story because Hurt refused to pay
Nelson
