It's a world of laughter
A world of tears
It's a world of hopes
And a world of fears
There's so much that we share
That it's time we're aware
It's a small world after all
There is just one moon
And one golden sun
And a smile means
Friend****p to ev'ryone
Though the mountains divide
And the oceans are wide
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small world after all
It's a small, small world
The Human Daisy Chain
RE: Bertha Cheek, the real estate lady that spent the afternoon of
Nov. 18 with Jack Ruby at the Carousel Club.
Bertha was the sister of Erlene Roberts, the woman who managed the
rooming house where LHO was living on 11-22-63. Bertha owned rental
property all over Dallas. She lived at 5901 Hillcrest which was about
1 quarter mile from where Geo.deMorenschildt lived before leaving for
Haiti in May. It was also about the same distance from where Everett
Glover lived and held the party where Ruth Paine met the Oswalds. But
he had moved away in April.
On Monday, Oct.7, Ruth Paine gave LHO a Dallas city map to assist
in job hunting. The map was found among Lee's belongings after the
"Big Bang."
Lee had made a mark on the map at Hillcrest and Ashbury. A bus
stopped at that corner. It was also where Bertha rented rooms and
later lived herself.
That day, Lee had gone to the Beckley address but there was no room
at the inn, so he rented at the Marsalis address under his own name.
The following week he moved to the Beckley address and signed in as
O.H.Lee.
At one time, Bertha had rented to policeman Harry Olsen who was a
friend of Jack's and married Kathy Kay Coleman, a beautiful English
stripper at the Carousel.
Bertha thought that she might have rented to LHO at one time Not
wanting to hog your time, I suggest that "ya all " read the testimony
of Bertha and that of Wilbyrn Waldon Litchfield II, a shady friend of
Jack's and a bed partner of Bertha's.

Bertha's rooming house was also across the street from a restaurant
where Michael Paine frequently went on his 'Speaking tours" , on
Sunday, to talk with students from SMU University which occupied much
of the area
