Hello everyone,
I am testing a different way to use aspects in a nativity. Usually we use
plain zodiacal longitude aspects (as given in the ephemeris). When it
comes
to calculate placidean primary directions, we first begin to calculate a
pole for the planet. If the planet has some im****tant latitude, its pole
and
sidereal time used for the primary directions will change. Consequently,
the
planet may get a "new" position on the ecliptic because of this pole. I
began to put these "new" zodiacal planetary positions on a blank chart and
looked at the aspects involved. Sometime, aspects disappear and new ones
get
in the way, or some get closer in their orb. As with an "in mundo" chart,
position in houses may also change.
I asked Gérard Laffont if he knew astrologers who used such a technique
(in
contrast to "in mundo" aspects). He don't. He thinks it _might_ be an
interesting technique, though he stays cautious. Gérard Laffont has been
practising astrology for more than 40 years. He worked with Henri-Joseph
Gouchon, and still works with André Barbault in mundane astrology. He
promotes Gouchon's technique of primary directions (under Regiomontanus
poles).
Does anyone knows of someone who use such a technique?
Please find here, as an example of the changes involved in those charts,
the
chart of Michel Fourniret, who is being under trial in France for murders
and rapes. Take note of the major changes for Pluto and Eris (2003 UB313).
Moon and Pluto become in mutual square aspect in the "new" chart. In
clear,
I look for aspects between the planets in the outside ring. Thus, it is
not
"in mundo" aspects I look for.
