I recently ran across this post below while surfing the Internet.
This is one of the most egregiously incorrect and ill-informed attacks
I have ever seen in print. I am a close, personal friend of Mr.
Lavoie's, and I participate in his astrological research group
(www.astroinvestigators.com) here in Connecticut. I have assisted him
with software demonstrations at major astrological conventions and am
currently enrolled in his online Horary Course.
The author of this vicious attack obviously has neither any experience
nor knowledge of Alphee Lavoie's innovative astro-financial software.
AIR Software's Market Trader has been rated #1 by Stocks and
Commodities magazine as the leader of technical financial software
using artificial intelligence. No other astrological programs have
ever come close to that honor. "Crummy financial software?" - I think
not. Also, I know for a fact that the author of this critical review
of AIR Market Trader software is not and never has been a registered
owner of any financial software program sold by AIR Software
(www.alphee.com). So, she has no first-hand experience on which to
base her judgment.
Astrology lessons - Alphee ran the most successful astrology school in
Connecticut for years. He had an enrollment of over 200 students. At
major conferences, his lectures are packed. He has often been rated
by conference presenters as one of the most popular and sought-after
teachers. In Russia, he has a following of hundreds of astrologers
that travel great distances to hear him when he's there. His ground-
breaking and well-received book, "Lose this Book . . .and Find it with
Horary" sold out quickly, and a second printing is eagerly awaited by
many. Of course, the author of these venomous words, knowing nothing
of Mr. Lavoie's International fame and respect as one of our top
astrologers, feels well qualified to challenge his credentials.
Illiterate? ...quite off the mark, once again. I am constantly amazed
at Alphee's ability to recall exact quotes, including page numbers,
from many of the standard astrological and financial texts, after not
having looked at them for years. Not only is he a thorough reader,
but his recall is unbelievable. Yes, since he didn't speak English
until age 18, he does rely on his wife Carol to edit his im****tant
writings. Even though, with just a minimal amount of effort, anybody
can make sense out of Alphee's personal writings. Even the great Noel
Tyl said that once he got used to Alphee's writing style, he quickly
recognized Alphee Lavoie's brilliance and gifts as an astrologer.
IQ - uh....If Alphee Lavoie possessed a digit-deficient IQ I don't think
our U.S. Government would have put him in top positions of seminal
projects as an experimental nuclear engineer, which he was before he
became a full-time astrologer, n'est-ce pas?
Personality--yes, Alphee doesn't suffer fools very well. However, he
has a heart of gold and will give you the ****rt off his back. I have
seen Alphee give hours and hours of telephone tech sup****t to people
that most of us would have long given up on. Being "not a nice
person" or "a jerk" is something I have never witnessed in the years
that I've known Alphee.
Any reader of average intelligence would not take the malicious words
written below seriously for two reasons. One-the inappropriate and
unprofessional manner, and Two - if criticism is to be taken
seriously, it must be backed up with facts, but most of all, the
writer must consider her opinion worthy enough to identify herself
with a real signature and identity. Even though Alphee doesn't need
any defense or rescuing, I wrote my response basically because, I want
people to know a little bit more of why Alphee Lavoie is a great
person and an im****tant contributor to the field of Astrology.
