what about mulattoes?
Obama is technically a mulatto. He had a white mother and black father
same with me.....I am a mulatto born to a white mother and black
father.
Rex E Bill's Rulership book shows that both Saturn and Neptune rules
mulattoes.
I feel that Obama is different from the black candidates that ran for
president in the past because he's not just black. He has a white
parent and black parent. To me, that indicates the bridging the racial
divide. We mulattoes tend to embrace both our white and black heritage
and try to bridge the gap between black and white.
However,he has acknowledged some Afrocentricity in his books and his
Church which is predominantly Black.
The fact is that there is an official one drop rule. Many of mulattoes
are pinned the "black" label by both whites and blacks. I know this
personally. I hate people giving me the black label. I don't like
being referred to as African American because it denies my white
mother and her family. I grew up loving my Portuguese maternal
grandfather, and he loved me just as much. He was the person that I
loved most except my mother. I loved him in spite of the black racial
slurs that he made. I felt a kinship through our shared Moon in Pisces
too.
When I was in the process of going to the navy,
My mother being listed white on birth certificate without my father
being listed on it,and so I was written down as being Caucasian. Then
when they see me, then they mark down black.
If you read anything about Halle Berry, her white mother told her that
she needs to accept the Black label because that's how society is
going to see her and label her as. They won't know that she has a
white mother.
My mother did the same to me. However, she sent mixed messages when she
marked down multiple boxes for ethnicity when she registered me for
high school.
I grew up with multiethnic identity and embraced multiculturalism. I
didn't grow up with a black identity and was never Afro-centric.
There is a lot of mixed types that do grow up being black and some of
us that grow up being mixed. Some of us do grow up being white.
some like Tiger Woods, grow up being Cablanasian. :)
so the mulatto experience is complexed
during the election day
Venus will be sextile Neptune, the planet of mulattoes(Rex E. Bill)
Eris will be trine Venus and sextile Neptune. A Venus,Neptune,Eris
grand trine.
To me, Eris seems to have to do with minorities. It seems like a
planet that has to do with divergence, diversity and matters connected
to those like civil rights,bigotry,affirmative
action,reparation,racism,ideology as well as controversy......the
Tower of Babel(like the poor excuses against interracial marriages:if
god meant for whites and blacks to mix, then he wouldn't made them
different races)
It's no wonder that Obama has Sun trine/contraparallel Eris. He even
worked as a civil rights lawyer. His pastor speaks out against racism
and the bad US policies overseas including quoting Ambassador Peck, and
that generates controversy. Obama made a speech about race relations.
There is controversy in regards to what is his ideologies whether he's
a muslim,a communist,or a racist. His background,heritage is diverse.
He's trying to promote the tolerance, acceptance of diversity and close
the gap of the racial divide. He's doing that. It's evident in how
many whites are voting for him...far more than Jesse Jackson ever had.
In his speech on race relations,he refers to himself as not being one
of the most conventional of candidates. He's definitely unconventional
as a candidate. That's his Uranus conjunct the North Node and
Midheaven. Uranus along with Neptune has to do with mixtures
(according to Rex E Bill's rulership
I just want to say that I have no idea if Obama will be elected
President of USA. I am very cynical of race relations. There is still
a lot of racism in our country. It's just more subtle and not as
overt. It's still there. Racism is not a white thing and not a black
thing. It's a multiracial thing. There will always be racism as long
as we have forms that list racial boxes to pick.
You would think that with the 2000 Census which allowed multiracial
people to pick more than one box, that there is a chance to break down
the racial divide
but only 4.6 percent of the USA population identified as mixed race.
I was one of those people. I was glad that they came up with a form
where I was free to acknowledge my heritage, background. I always went
against society by marking down multiple boxes when they say "choose
one" In that,I am a rebel (Uranus trine Midheaven and North along with
Mars in Aquarius).
Astrologers pointed out that there is Saturn-Uranus opposition.
but Jupiter is trine Saturn and sextile Uranus.
There will be a Jupiter sextile Uranus. That could indicate the
possibility of chance for positive change. It could be an aspect that
indicates multiculturalism as well. Jupiter trine Saturn to me seems
to be a positive, optimistic grounding, structure. It seems like there
could be an aspect of bipartisan. It could be a possibility of
Democrats and Republicans working together.
Pluto in the last degree of Sagittarius could indicate the breaking
down the barriers between races,cultures.
I believe that Venus in the interracial, international sign of
Sagittarius squared by Saturn and Uranus. There could be the forcing
of us Americans out of our comfort zones in regards to race, religion
and the reality check of what's really going on. The need to face the
issues that we have.
Venus' Dispositor, Jupiter makes easy aspects to both Saturn and
Uranus...so there is a chance that we can make progress with not only
race,religion but also other issues.
I believe that this Election will make us take a good look at
ourselves as who we are as people and as a nation.
Whether he wins or loses the election, Barack Obama can be an agent
for change.
That's just my opinion.
