Unknown binary string

Someone posted this long (4073 bit) binary string in a forum I read. I
wondered if it was random, or code, or something, so I started to
analyse it.

I got as far as deciding it is not a simple random stream
(distribtution of ones and zeroes not random)
It does not appear to be ASCII characters (in 8 bit or 7 bit groups)

However when parsing it into 6 bit groups, there appears to be a sort
of pattern, with a frequency histogram, as follows:

This definitely shows some sort of pattern, but I cannot figure out
the basis.
8 numbers appear about 30 times, 4 numbers about 60 times and 2
numbers about 90 times.

The 'not quite' 30,60,90 totals suggest that the sequence is not
complete and has been truncated somewhat

Anyone any further ideas?

Of course it could all be some kind of human binary virus (read Snow
Crash by Neal Stephenson...)
