Someone, I think it was Phil Teller, said something prolific. The
following is not an example of that::
>I saw the change coming in 2000 and have been pounding the pulpit ever
>since. I think it is wrong to bring children to BM, and as a Ranger who
>talks to the cops alot, I know the cops use kids to enforce the rules.
And what rules would that be?
>Remember the Jiffy Lube deal in 2002? Remember all the urinating in
public
>tickets in 2000? It's all about kids, and safety for kids.
A bunch of children got pee'd on? OMG! OMG! The sky is falling!
>Yep, soon we will be just another big camping trip.
Dont foget the masrchmallows, as that big old Burning Man could cook a
whole bag off of his big toe.
>Did anyone notice the lack of large scale art? Or the lack of huge
burning art?
Other than that big old Burning Man? Nope, not at all.
>Safety for children is the issue here. As long as we have idiots who
insist on
>bringing their children we will have to adhere to safety and child
friendly
>environments.
Might I suggest McDonalds? According to www.hardees.com thats the
only safe-place to take your kids.
>Maybe the adults in the community who don't want a child friendly
environment
>should stage BURNING MAN EXTREME just up the playa from the current
event
>on the same date and make it an 18 or over event only. We can leave all
the
>families to camp with First Camp and have a Burning Man event of our own.
Oh sure, take a theme and multiply it but dont allow everyone to
partcipate. Make sure you build a wall around it with remote-operated
machine guns to keep those horrible little children away. God knows
we dont want them growing up like...ourselves....
>Captain Conundrum
>Johnny and The Playa Cruizers Chassis Lube and Body Shop
One place I'll make sure to boycott. Thanks for the heads up.
