Christ Festival, the Festival of Humanity, & World Invocation Day)
began on Monday June 16 and continues through Friday (except in NZT -
where it began Tues and runs through Friday)..

This Festival has three central features:

Ray 2 is transmitted through Gemini.
Gemini is the force which produces the changes needed for the
evolution of the Christ consciousness at any particular point in time
and space. Gemini controls esoterically the heart of our solar
system.
Keynote thought: "I recognize my other self and in the waning of
that
self, I grow and glow."
It has the keynote of the spirit of humanity, aspiring to God. The
spiritual and divine nature of mankind are recognized. It is a time
of
deep invocation and appeal, of human and spiritual unity.
At this time, the energies of light, love and power generated at the
two previous major spring festivals (Easter & Wesak), is released by
Hierarchy.
The Christ, the Lord of Love, presides over this dynamic outpouring.
It brings an abundant tide of love for Humanity to use as goodwill in
establi****ng rightful world conditions. The day of this festival is
called World Invocation Day, as it celebrates the collective
aspiration of humanity to act in harmony with its highest spiritual
goals. It is also known as the Festival of the Spirit of Humanity,
the
Festival of the Christ, and as the Festival of Unification.
Each festival covers a special period of five days (two days
preceding, the day of the Festival, and the two following days), with
the climax on the day of the Festival itself, when women and men of
goodwill can cooperate much more effectively than at other times, in
meditation and through the direction of energy, with the spiritual
Hierarchy and those who stand behind the evolution of consciousness
of
our planet.

The Festival of Goodwill at the time of the Gemini full moon provides
an op****tunity for the energy received at the Wesak festival to be
released and anchored within human consciousness.
This is the Festival of the spirit of humanity aspiring towards God,
seeking conformity with the will of God and dedicated to the
expression of right human relations. On this Festival for two
thousand
years the Christ has represented humanity and has stood before the
Hierarchy and in the sight of Shamballa as the God-man, the leader of
his people and the eldest in a great family of brothers. Each year
at
this time he has preached the last sermon of the Buddha before the
assembled Hierarchy. This is, therefore, a Festival of deep
invocation
and appeal, of a basic aspiration towards fellow****p, of human and
spiritual unity; it represents the effect in human consciousness of
the work of the Buddha and of the Christ.
Shamballa - the Will aspect of God - Wesak - (Taurus) Hierarchy -
the
Love aspect of God - Easter - (Aries) Humanity - divine Intelligence
- Goodwill - (Gemini)
The remaining nine Full Moons will be concerned with the divine
characteristics and their development in mankind.
Thus the twelve festivals will constitute a revelation of divinity.
They will present a means of bringing about relation****p, first of
all
during three months with the three great spiritual centers, the three
expressions of the divine Trinity. The minor festivals will emphasize
the interrelation of the Whole, thus lifting the divine presentation
out of the individual and the personal into that of the universal
divine Purpose; the relation****p of the Whole to the part and of the
part to that Whole will be thereby fully expressed.
Humanity will therefore invoke the spiritual power of the Kingdom of
God, the Hierarchy; the Hierarchy will respond, and God's plans will
then be worked out on Earth. The Hierarchy, on a higher turn of the
spiral, will invoke the center of God's Will, Shamballa or Shangri-
Lha, thus invoking the Purpose of God. Thus will the Will of God be
implemented by Love and manifested intelligently; for this mankind is
ready, and for this the Earth waits.

THE GREAT INVOCATION

The Christ himself used this great mantram for the first time in June
1945, when he announced to his Brothers, the Masters of Wisdom, that
he was ready to return to the world at the earliest possible moment,
as soon as humanity took the first steps towards sharing and
cooperation for the general good.
If the Purpose of God, invoked through this universal prayer, guides
"the little wills of men," then the little separate wills of men and
women will come at last into correct alignment with the Divine Will,
and the Plan of Love and Light will work out. All that we do as a
race
is in response (adequate or inadequate) to the Divine energies of
Will
(or Purpose), Love and Light released into the world by the Spiritual
Hierarchy of Masters.
The Great Invocation was given to humanity by Maitreya the Christ as
a
potent technique of invoking the energies which would transform the
world and prepare for his coming. We urge you to use it daily and
encourage others to do so on behalf of humanity.

Today the reappearance of the World Teacher - the Christ - is
expected
by millions, not only by those of Christian faith but by every faith
of those who expect the Avatar under other names such as the Lord
Maitreya, Krishna, the Messiah, the Imam Mahdi and the Bodhisattva.
Glamour and distortion surround this central fact of divine response
to human need. This is inevitable but unim****tant. The fact of
transition into a new age is im****tant. Preparation by men and women
of goodwill is needed to introduce new values for living, new
standards of behaviour, new attitudes of non-separateness and

He will be mainly concerned, not with the result of past error and
inadequacy but with the requirements of a new world order and with

reorganisation of the social structure. He will inspire mankind to
see
itself as one family, and to rebuild the world based upon the
principles of Sharing, Justice, Brotherhood, & Love.
