The symphonic sounds of the evening skies deeply penetrated into the
snow-covered Earth of a cold winter night. Meditation on an object
may lead the mind into infinite dimensions of existence, which holds
Infinite Space, where Cosmic Insight leads to Infinite Consciousness
on the observed phenomena. The ultimate nature of the observed
phenomena, Infinite Space, Infinite Consciousness is Emptiness. And
the ultimate nature of Emptiness is Cessation: Neither Perception nor
Non-Perception.
The Four Foundations of Mindfulness is in Oneness with the Four
Formless Meditations, as Contemplation on the Body (which reflects the
World) corresponds to the Infinite Space Meditation, Contemplation on
Feelings and Mind States to the Infinite Consciousness, Contemplation
on subtle Spirits to Emptiness, and ultimately, Universal
Consciousness to Neither Perception nor Non-Perception, that is,
Cessation.
