Have you been to Chuck Clark's repeater site on Tempiute? It has a
view to Vegas TV stations, but as you know that is different from
seeing Vegas itself. I don't think any of Chuck's gear is actually
repeating anything, so the site should be quiet.

I've done simplex before (pre-arranged mountain topping), but never
weak signal in the blind. Do you listen for a station, or just pick a
frequency and CQ CQ?
