In the "Layers" section (bottom left), under "primary database", there
is a check box for "Terrain".
My guess is lat/lon is not very accurate when "terrain" is turned on
because they are warping the image, so they give you an option to turn
it off.
Probably you should drive to the base of the hill then walk to the
top, i.e. scout it out before heading up there. There is room to turn
around, though it may take a few tries. Along the way, there is a
turn to go up the hill, but that is deeded land or one of those
"patented" mining claims.
