Diana inquest: Your reaction
Mohamed Al Fayed has said "enough is enough" and will end his legal
battle over the death of his son Dodi and Diana, Princess of Wales.
Has he made the right decison?
Mr Al Fayed said he wasn't challenging the jury's verdicts - which he
had reservations about - for the sake of Diana's sons, Princes William
and Harry.
The jury decided that driver Henri Paul and the paparazzi shared the
blame for the manslaughter of the princess and Dodi Fayed.
Princes William and Harry have thanked the jury for their forbearance
and agreed with their verdict of unlawful killing.
Will Mr Al Fayed's decision put an end to the conspiracy theories?
Will a line now be drawn under the case? What is your view about the

life and choices. conspiracy or not- we will never know - it's now and

those who subscribe to conspiracy theories always quote the unlikely
events etc. involved.
they fail to recognise that although the events are unlikely, that
there are infinite op****tunities for such events to happen..
for example get in a car with a drunk driver and its likely to
crash... be so dumb as to not wear a seatbelt and you are likely to
die in the ensuing crash...
it was all a very sad accident!!! that's the end of it!!!

If you believe it was a conspiracy at such a high level, as Mr Al
Fayed does, then you will still believe so because you would have to
be very naive to think that such a public enquiry could ever have the
real facts revealed to it. Only those who do not believe it was a
conspiracy will gain any comfort from this verdict. This inquiry was a
huge waste of money because no matter what the truth is the outcome
could never have been what Mr Al Fayed wanted.

I would say to leave Diana rest in peace and give William and Harry a
rest from all this. And besides there has been a lot of money wasted
on something so silly from the tax payer's pocket!

Let's just say it again:
Diana's popularity guaranteed the future of the Monarchy for at least
the next 50 years. There is thus no way the Royal Family would have
wanted her harmed - she meant a continuation of the status quo, she
was a very valuable asset.
IF..IF..IF..IF anyone wanted her knocked off IT WAS NOT THE ROYAL
FAMILY...
More likely anti-Monarchists who saw what her popularity did for the
Monarchy's future - and if they could point the finger at the Queen,
too....

It was unlikely to find any plot to kill Diana and Dodi.
Some wouldn't give evidence, others lied...

I honestly don't know anyone who cares, though I do know plenty who
wonder why so much time and money has been spent on this.
The few who do care are clearly very interested, but they should

I think whenever someone well-known dies, there will always be all
kinds of conspiracy theories circulating around. However, I think that
after near 11 years, Diana's friends and family should be left alone,
and let her be put to rest finally. People HOPE to uncover a
conspiracy theory and they see what they want to see. Let her be
remembered for all the work that she has done during her lifetime, NOT
for being the protagonist of a fanciful conspiracy theory.

There have been some reveling comments coming from Al Fayed and his
makewight spokespersons.
Last night it was "Allah will avenge me".
The day before was a reminder that he still doesn't have a British
pass****t.
This man has serious issues and a grossly inflated ego He has
deliberately muddied the waters with bamy theories for ten years
because he knew that if he dragged it out that long he couldn't be
sued for damages under French law when it was confirmed that his
driver was plastered.

Pretty clear there was a cover up, but if they don't call the
witnesses and the witnesses lie, not a lot you can do.
It didn't help that Al Fayed became exasperated by the cover up and
let his mouth run too much. But the biased re****ting is disgraceful.

Yes. Like the pilot of Virgin Atlantic VS003, arrested IN the cockpit
of his airliner for being under the influence (Apr 07).
Like the drunk captain who crashed his ****p into a North Sea gas
platform (Aug 07).
Like the US police officer who killed a pedestrian when driving under
the influence (Jun 98).
All 3 were "at the top" of their profession.

because you would have to be very naive to think that such a public
enquiry could ever have the real facts revealed to it. Only those who
do not believe it was a conspiracy will gain any comfort from this
verdict. This inquiry was a huge waste of money because no matter what
the truth is the outcome could never have been what Mr Al Fayed
wanted.</p>
