The George HW Bush will be the 10th and last of the Nimitz class fleet,
which at 332 metres in length, are about as long as the Empire State
Building is tall.
They are the largest military ****ps in the world, and the latest version
is
expected to come at a cost of 5 billion dollars. The ****ps carry about 75
aircraft. Powered by two nuclear reactors, they travel at a top speed of
30
knots.
During World War II George HW Bush flew planes from aircraft carriers and
was shot down over the Pacific in 1944.
