the Darkness Generator (tm) in the English corner of the bar switches off
for the first time in months.

"I've only just got round to ordering the second anthology. Ho, Ratz, A
round of liquid apology for the regulars!" He starts tinkering with a
contraption on the table, adjusting it's position until it points straight
at the bulletin board. Giving the Darkness Generator a Kick, the Corp-Rat
settles back down in his seat, picking up the drink Ratz has sent to his
table. Just before the booth disappears into darkness once more, patrons
can make out a sign on the side of the contraption that reads "Meme Hoover
(TM)"
