You know Linux is not that complicated anymore ... if you choose the
right distro. As some people hinted, you should take a pick at Ubuntu
or Mandriva, which are fairly simple.

In fact, Ubuntu's motto is "Linux for human beeings"

With a little help from your techno-addict friends, you might get it
work quite fast and find it even more simple to use than Windows.

On the Microsoft ba****ng subject, please, get over it already ! I know
this is close to our behated megacorps, but there is no need to be
caricatural saying "booo they are bad they don't care for their
customers, they never fix anything, blah blah blah blah ..."

This judgment is based on WHAT ? precise technical informations you've
cautiously read, or is it just screaming with the wolves because it
sounds good to be anti-microsoft ?

Can't you cyberpunk freaks try to actually make just a small step
outside the system ? Linux is no big deal. And if you feel lost at the
begining, just remember you were a windows newbie, once.
