Formed by Genesis P-Orridge (Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV) and Bryin
Dall (4th Sign of the Apocalypse, Loretta's Doll, A Murder of Angels,
Of Unknown Origin, Dream Into Dust) in 1998.
Originally a spoken word/sparse noise project, the group was later
joined by Larry Thrasher (PTV) on loops and tabla for live shows and
some recordings, followed by PTV III members Lady Jaye P-Orridge on
additional guitar and Morrison Edley (Toilet Boys) on drums.
Thee Majesty remains a vehicle for GPO's semi-freeform rants and
concepts, sup****ted by Dall's guitar and sample soundscapes, sometimes
augmented by some combination of the other members. Live they are as
exciting as they are unpredictable, their unrehearsed brilliance and
****fting lineup ensuring that no two shows the same.
