Lava lamp stuck!

by "Deso" <desso@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jun 23, 2004 at 05:15 PM

Hi!

I've been hassling around with my lava lamp for ages now and finally I
dared
to ask for advice here. I just changed the old "water" or whatever mixture
it was to newly distilled water, hoping that the flow would be more
smoother
and the paraffin wax (or i suspect so) wouldn't attach to the walls. I
know
I could get the flow smoother and so that the lava wouldn't stay in the
upper part of the lamp by buying a dimmer, but I don't have a clue what to
do to detach the lava from the walls. It's not nice having small chunks of
lava stuck to the walls of the glass "bottle". And yeah, this was a
working,
store-bought lamp couple months ago, but it started to malfunction when I
added some dye to make it more personal. Some advice would be great.
thanks
in advance.
