Hello. I have set up a survey about conventions and am asking anyone
willing to please complete it. In the past 3 years I have attended,
volunteered, or worked as staff at several sci-fi/trek conventions and
have heard a lot of praise, complaints, suggestions, etc. and have
decided to try and get a broader and rounder idea of what people really
think about them and what they would want to see happen at them. It is
not intended to be biased towards any fandom. I am not, and this survey
is not, affiliated with any convention company.
The survey is kind of long -- 61 questions -- but not all questions are
required to complete the survey. I tried to keep it unbiased as well,
though I admit that with the short 3 years of experience, most of my
conventions were Trek or mixed with an overall Trek theme.
The idea to setup the survey came when a friend with whom I attended
conventions and I began reminiscing and discussing what made some of
the cons succeed, and others fail miserably.
