Come celebrate the new year in fandom at Galactic Conquest II!!!!
This New Years we hope to throw our biggest party ever... Galactic
ConQuest II.
There is no better way for fandom celebrate and event than at a con.
For New Years and new con has been started in the Atlanta area called
Galactic ConQuest. This will be the con's second year and it will be
many times larger than the first year.
We will have a collectible entry badge for just $5. Directors and
volunteers can get in free.
Some of the great items wil have at this years con are..
- Bryan Stelfreeze of DC comics "Matador" will be joining us. We'll
host an artist reception on Friday Dec 30th, from 6-8pm.
- The bands The Lost Boys and Three Quarter Ale during the con.
- Blake Myers, will host a special "Sassparilla the Gorilla" movie and
performance during Galactic ConQuest on Friday at 11pm. This was a huge
hit at the Star Bar and promises to be a wacky fun time.
- A huge art show featuring some of the best dcience fiction and
fantasy art from artists all around the country.
- The Dragons Horde will be hosting Anime.
- The History Channel's Anachronism will be run by the makers Tri King
games.
- Discussion panels on many topics in science fiction and fantasy.
- Dealers, exhibitors and fan tables.
How can you get involved? We are looking for...
Game directors, badge checkers, set up and clean up help, game
demonstators, decorators, and most of all - people who will help get
the word out! Convention organizers are meeting every Monday in
Lawrenceville. Call (770) 339-3001 to find out how you can help.
We expect to have extra good prize sup****t for this convention. We are
pursuing many of the popular game manufactors and we expect that many
will provide excellent prizes.
The goal is to make this New Years party different from the rest. We
are working on a special Saturday kid's hour, artist event, music,
games, and other things we've not offered before.
