Too Big?

DragonCon was great, but the crowds were awful.  I didn't get to see most
of
the costumes because security guards kept telling me to move on, don't
stand
still.  I missed the Dawn Look-alike contest because the rooms were all
full.  I never did find a consuite, but there were plenty of room parties
to
make up for it.
Is there any way to hold next year's DragonCon in a place with more room?
Maybe an arena?  If there were places big enough for Olympic events, there
must be places big enough for DragonCon.
