	If crosposting is to be utterly verboten under all cir***stances, no 
matter how carefully the poster selects the groups, then people should 
disable the capability. Completely. It shouldn't be hard to automate 
such a thing in a bunch of the major distribution nodes, I'd think -- 
anything with more than one newsgroup in the header, either select the 
first newsgroup, or post 'em separately to each group, stripping off 
all others. (and of course with a limit of X groups, so that spams 
across four dozen groups are auto-stopped)

	Of course, this begs the question of why, as Dan points out, a number 
of newsreaders are specifically designed to take ADVANTAGE of 
crossposting, and only show you a message once if it's crossposted to 
several groups, whereas if the message is posted SEPARATELY, you'll 
see it each and every time, without fail.
