It's not a great deal more work and kinder to certain newsreaders. 
Though to be fair, your posts don't normally generate a huge amount of 
traffic around them. This one's just been more noisy than most.

That makes sense, but probably also the thing that has gradually annoyed 
me enough to post in the first place. I have a look in one of my nice 
quiet newsgroups expecting some posts to read but it's just that dang 
Dweomer thread again ;-)

Mine sucks at this as well. I should probably switch back to Pan as I'm 
currently using Thunderbird for usenet. Maybe the google summer of code, 
"make newsreading not suck in Mozilla" project will improve things.
