Hi all
Well, now I'm studying at the Open University. Science. Go me. Or
something.
It looks like the Government/OU are going to pay for it(most of it),
though. Everyone earning under £25K or so now gets an award(assuming
they apply) - a certain amount towards the fees and another amount
towards miscellaneous expenses like buying a computer and getting
internet access and stuff.
I /was/ going to do their CCNA course too but now I'm not so sure. The
phrase 'You will need to set up your firewall to allow ‘pop-ups’ from
the Cisco and OU sites.' had me wondering.
What kind of academic computer scientist type person would think you
block pop-ups with a ****ing FIREWALL?
