Heh. Well, my parents had to pay full whack for theirs as well.

Yes, it is. I got paid a £300 bonus in my last pay packet, however I 
only actually received about half of it. Puts you off doing the extra 
work does that.

I'm sure that if my family could completely opt out of all government 
sup****t and tax, paid the dustmen direct, paid for a street light or two 
direct, paid for maintaining a stretch of road direct, etc we would be a 
lot better off. We could probably pay your bonus for doing an OU degree 
as well!

Enough rant. It's good to be well paid even if the government does waste 
too much of my hard earned money ;-)

Mine doesn't, and I doubt that most consumer grade units do more than
mine.

Of course, SW firewalls might do it as well knowing what they are like 
for bloat.
