In two days I've got to hand in a large bit of coursework. At this most
appropriate of all moments, my thinkpad's power supply decides it's
tired of being a power supply and would rather be a bird. All it does
now is chirp.
( Of course you only notice this when a battery warning pops up and you
think "That's strange, I thought I plugged it in". So the battery is
flat and although I did get some stuff off it first, there's going to be
/something/ I've forgotten.)
This particular model (56 W) is only sold nowadays by about three
retailers in the country. All of whom want three weeks to deliver it.
Getting one on ebay (actually on ricardo.ch) will take at least half a
week as well.
But! As I'm feeling slightly depressed, not in the least because of 40+
page requirement documents, here's something that never fails to cheer
me up and that I thought I might share: the worst fantasy story ever.

Reduces me to giggles almost every time I read a chapter. It's quite
quotable too.
