Sounds like a monty python sketch to me. "I really wanted to be a 
philosopher, you know".
Although it's the sort ofthing that could usefully be done with 
philosophy graduates IMO :)

Well it's only a summer job. After that she's off to be a french civil 
servant in a sociological research institution somewhere. Technically 
she is already; they get a pretty decent stipend while they're students 
at this elite school (but have to stay civil servants for 6 years after 
graduation).

Oh yeah. It's got to the point where we're editing it behind her back
