virtual tour program released

by Andy Baxter <news5@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jul 27, 2007 at 08:45 PM

I've just released the virtual tour program I've been working on for the
last year, and it would be good to get some feedback from people as to
what you think of it. It takes you on a web based tour of a site using
panoramic images and slideshows.

The sourceforge page is here: http://charabanc.sf.net

The things I could do with feedback on are:

- what do you make of the built in help system? Are the tooltips annoying
or useful? It's been a big problem for me to get this right, as most
people don't read instructions and end up not using it right.
- is the do***entation OK for a free software project?
- the general look of it.
- where else would be good to let people know about this project? So far
I've posted on the http://www.dojotoolkit.org
mailing list, on the
lugradio forums: http://forums.lugradio.org
and asked http://hugin.sf.net
for a reciprocal link.
- any general advice on looking after a free software project.
