Convergence 13 Bid Proposal Web Sites

Bid proposal web sites go live as of today.

Bids may be added and updated until sites are frozen at the end of the
submission period. The submission period closes at 0:00EST (05:00GMT)
on
April 5 2006. Any proposals submitted after that time will NOT be
included
on this year's ballot.
Note that bid proposal web sites MUST be hosted on altgothic.com. No
exceptions. Each Bid Committee will be allotted 10MB of disk space,
CGI-bin access and a single FTP login account with 24 hour access.
Convergence 13 Bid Proposal Public Discussion and Debate Period
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
The discussion period, in which the public will debate endlessly every
little detail about every proposal, begins today with the start of the
submission period on April 1 2006 and end on April 12 2006. Debates
take
place primarily on the alt.gothic.* news groups, afterglow mailing list
and the agc_afterglow LiveJournal group.
Live IRC question and answer sessions with each proposal committee may
also be scheduled. Positive discussions are highly encouraged. Taking
advantage of the op****tunity to find out what your audience wants will
help you prepare a winning bid.
Convergence 13 Voting Period

The voting period will begin at 0:00EST (05:00GMT) April 5 2006 and
will
end 00:00EST (05:00GMT)on April 12 2006. Only registered voters will be
allowed to vote, using security keys which will be emailed to them
prior
to the start of the actual vote.
Convergence 13 Winning Proposal Announcement

Once the submitted votes are counted and verified, the winning
Convergence
13 committee chair will be notified. The winning proposal will them be
announced on altgothic.com an don the relevant newsgroups and mailing
lists. A public announcement will also be made at Convergence 12 in New
Orleans.
