Greetings from the Convergence 13 Committee!
We have all been working very hard to bring you many new updates. We
are now just *SEVEN MONTHS AWAY* from our Dark Victorian Dream
celebration in ****tland, Oregon, spanning Thursday, May 24th through
Monday, May 28th, Memorial Day Weekend 2007!
Website Update
-------------------
Very shortly you will encounter an entirely new graphical look and
layout to our website, in addition to many new announcements and
information, some of which we already announce to you below. Once

Pre-Sales Period Ending
----------------------------
With the advent of many new band announcements and more details about
our events, we are ending our Ticket Pre-Sales Period as soon as our
website updates. If you haven't taken advantage of the Pre-Sales
pricing, please do so immediately. Pre-Sales pricing on a few
different event tickets will increase.
Victorian Tea Party Tickets and Murder Mystery Theatre Tickets
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Mad Hatter's Victorian Tea Party is officially taking place at the
David Cole Queen Anne Victorian Mansion in ****tland on Sunday, May
27th, and will end in time for the evening events. Tentatively
planned is one of our Fa****on Shows and an acoustical set by Faith and
the Muse at the Gazebo. Be sure to purchase a Shuttle Pass, as this
venue is located a few miles from downtown.
We have additionally located a venue for the Murder Mystery Theatre
Dinner, and will update the website with more details shortly.
REMINDER: Tickets to both the Mad Hatter's Victorian Tea Party and
the Murder Mystery Theatre Dinner are *very limited*. A very
significant quantity of each has already been sold, and you may want
to grab these before they sell out. Don't forget that you must also
purchase a General Laminate Pass to attend these events.
Ticket Registration Process
---------------------------------
Many of you have purchased a variety of tickets during our Pre-Sales
Period. The Registration process has been very manual up to this
point. When our new website launches, the checkout process will
automatically force ticket registration.
For everyone who has purchased tickets before our Pre-Sales Period
ends...don't worry; we will contact you by e-mail shortly to confirm
your registration. Meanwhile, if you have purchased any tickets that
you haven't registered, you may want to help us by visiting the
website and registering these today.
Former Convergence Committee Members
----------------------------------------------------
If you were formally involved with producing a Convergence Festival at
the Committee level and are interested in receiving a General Laminate
Pass discount, please contact us for a special code to use on our
website when purchasing your tickets. Please be sure to e-mail us
your real name, alias (if you use one), your physical mailing address,
which Convergence Committee(s) you served on, and the name of the
director/chair we may contact to verify your involvement.

Roll Call
-----------------
One of the new features of our upcoming website update is the
Convergence Roll Call. Please visit this area of our website and let
the world know you will be attending. When you check out with a
ticket purchase, you will automatically be prompted to sign up for our
roll call.
Pre and Post Parties
------------------------
We will be hosting both the Pre and Post Parties at the FEZ Ballroom,
located just three blocks down the street from the Crystal Ballroom
venue. The FEZ Ballroom has two levels and wood dancing floors,
including a performance stage. We plan to have bands upstairs and DJs
downstairs for your dancing and entertainment pleasure. You won't
want to miss either of these parties! Be sure to arrive to ****tland
early on Thursday, and stick around through Monday night! Your
General Laminate Pass gains you free access to both evenings. Band
and DJ announcements forthcoming!

Note on Memorial Day Weekend Travel
--------------------------------------------------------
Whether you are arriving by plane, train or automobile, please take
special note that holiday weekend traffic in the ****tland Metro area
can become quite acute. We expect traffic to be very congested in the
greater downtown area from Noon to 7pm on Friday, May 25th of the
festival. Plan to arrive earlier than later and make sure you are a
part of the festivities! Better yet, plan to arrive by Thursday
afternoon in time for the Pre-Party at the Fez!
New Band Announcements

On their recent tour through ****tland in sup****t of Covenant, we
gratuitously announced that IMPERATIVE REACTION will be appearing at
Convergence 13!
We have even more band announcements coming with the website update.

Vendor's Survey
---------------------
If you are interested in vending at Convergence 13, please be sure to
fill out the Vendor's Survey on our website. We have been sending out
Vendor's Applications to many potential applicants who have completed
the Online Survey, and are currently preparing the next round of
solicitation. Vending space at the Hotel is going fast; if you have
received an application, please be sure to return it to us via fax or
mail as soon as possible to reserve your space.
DJ and Band Submissions
--------------------------------
Don't leave our mailbox empty! If you are interested in submitting
for Band or DJ submissions, best to get those in sooner than later.
Submission protocols are published on our website.
Panels, Fa****on, and Art Show Submissions
-----------------------------------------
Please continue to submit your interest in participating in the Art
Show, Fa****on Show, and Panel Discussions. Submission protocols are
published on our website.
Volunteering
----------------
Convergence 13, LTD is currently seeking locally-based volunteers to
help administrate the 2007 Convergence Festival. If you live within
the ****tland-Metro area and would like to volunteer, please contact us
at volunteers@[EMAIL PROTECTED]
to receive an application.
Donations
-------------
Convergence 13, LTD is a non-profit, mutual benefit company. We will
gladly accept any donations you would like to make to the company
after January 1, 2007 to help us produce this event. If you would

E-mail Problems
--------------------
If you have e-mailed us and haven't heard back, please try contacting
us again. Unfortunately, some mail doesn't make it through our SPAM
filters. Additionally, please add us to your e-mail address books or
adjust your settings. We have sent several e-mails that have never
made it to their destination, and we have also received several
bounce-backs.
Typical response time for e-mail sent to one of the contact addresses
advertised on our website is approximately 2-5 days. However, please
review the information on our website, MySpace or LiveJournal accounts
before you contact us. We will be attempting to continually update
our FAQ and these sites to hopefully answer more of the general
questions we receive.
