Another New Band Announcement: Deathline International!!!

Convergence 13 is please to announce yet another band in our
outstanding lineup, Bay Area industrial act Deathline International!
DLI was born in San Francisco with its first appearance on CyberCore
Compilation, and a few shows on the west coast. They are currently
wrapping up all the recordings for Pax Americana and preparing for the
fall release of their 5th album.

Convergence 13 Activities at the Hilton Hotel Relocated Downstairs!!

Convergence 13 has relocated all of its festival activities from the
Plaza level at the Hilton Hotel to the downstairs Lower Level. This
is a vast upgrade in expanisve space and allows for a very private and
intimate feel to our event. With red, rose-lined Victorian-style
carpets and water-shard lined ambient lighting, we no doubt feel that
you will find the Reception Hall, the Grand Ballroom Vendor's Bazaar,
and side room Art Show, Panel Discussion, and Film Room delightful!
New Vending Space Available --- Sort of!

And yes, a few new Vendor spots have opened as a result of our
relocation of the Vendor's Bazaar to the Grand Ballroom at the Hilton,
but our reservation list is full! Many of you returned applications
while we were waiting for new space to become available, and you were
recently invoiced. If you completed the online vendor's survey before
January 15th and were sent an application, return those now and we
will continue to invoice in the order in which they were received!

Shuttle Passes Recommended!

A few of our venues are quite distant from the Hilton Hotel or have
limited parking. Be sure to pick up a Shuttle Pass with your tickets,
as it is good for all three primary days of the festival (Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday). Almost all ticketed events will have shuttled
service that leaves from and returns to the Hilton Hotel, unless they
are within discrete walking

Smoking Policy at Venues
-----------------------------------
Due to popular concern, we have ensured that there will be *NO
SMOKING* upstairs at either the Crystal Ballroom venue or at the FEZ
Ballroom venue for the main performance areas. You may, however, smoke
downstairs at both venues where there will be plenty of drinks, DJs
and dancing.
All of our side event venues are also nonsmoking, but a few may have

Pre and Post Parties at the FEZ--Im****tant Information!

We will be hosting both the Pre and Post Parties at the FEZ Ballroom,
located just three blocks down the street from the Crystal Ballroom
venue. The FEZ Ballroom has two levels and wood dancing floors,
including a performance stage. We plan to have bands upstairs and DJs
downstairs for your dancing and entertainment pleasure. You won't
want to miss either of these parties! Be sure to arrive to ****tland
early on Thursday, and stick around through Monday night! Your
General Laminate Pass gains you free access to both evenings. Band
and DJ announcements forthcoming!
**IM****TANT**: Due to some recent inquires, we need to clarify that
our Pre and Post Parties are 21+ only, as the Oregon Liquor Control
Commission license issued at this venue does not allow anyone under
21. We apologize for any incovenience.

discount is good for three days before Convergence 13 to three days
after Convergence 13 (May 21st to May 30th). However, rooms on May
22nd (the Tuesday before our event) have sold out at the Hilton Hotel,

Note on Memorial Day Weekend Travel
-----------------------------------
Whether you are arriving by plane, train or automobile, please take
special note that holiday weekend traffic in the ****tland Metro area
can become quite acute. We expect traffic to be very congested in the
greater downtown area from Noon to 7pm on Friday, May 25th of the
festival, especially since this date marks the exodus on summer
vacations.
Plan to arrive earlier than later and make sure you are a part of the
festivities! Better yet, plan to arrive by Thursday afternoon in time
for the Pre-Party at the Fez!
