I agree with Peter. This is the place to figure this stuff out.
I don't really have an answer for what changes are going to be made -
or even when we are going to have it all decided because the
discussion is very much still on-going. I'm very much in favour of
having as much of that discussion as possible here and in a.g. where
all interested parties can participate.

Most of the "interested parties" have been speaking from the
perspective on attendees, but if we get some input from potential
organizers as well, that's even better. (I'm assuming that's the
reason for the question, do correct me if I'm wrong.)
I'm very much in favour of having of having potential organizers
throwing in their two bits as well. Identifying their interest isn't
self-promotion.
