There were several instances that I know of (and certainly more of which
I am unaware) where someone contacted the C13 committee about someone,
and it took a long time to hear back. In my case, I emailed a question
about former committee arrangements in August and didn't get an answer
until October (after much ding-donging on my part). Other people posted
things on LiveJournal to the effect of "Has anyone heard about XYZ? I
emailed the cmte X-amount-of-time-ago and haven't heard back."
Fawlty communication will kill any event.
