I figure that as long as we can acquire meeting space (preferably
within the official hotel) and a way to police the door, we can have
it arranged. I don't mind taking the reins on this one as the time
draws closer...though I may put up a teaser on all the relevant fora
to not only spur interest, but maybe even suggestions. Especially
because there is still a hint of afterglow (pun strictly intended).
I have no problem with somebody bringing Loch Dhu or even Sheep
Dip...what good is a tasting when you don't get to sample the bottom
end of the spectrum :) I think it would be only fair to make it pot
luck, but perhaps with an "encouraged" donation to those that brung
the Scotch by those that ain't brung none. At least that way,
participation can be up and bringers don't get a total shaft.
I think it would be reasonable to do this for Absinthe, Scotch/
Whisk(e)y, Rum, etc.
As I'm thinking more of it, I'm mentally drafting guidelines and a
list of materials...hmmm
