Greetings from South Beach, where we're anxiously awaiting gigs by Bauhaus,
The Cruxshadows & Ego Likeness, H.I.M. and Depeche Mode. (And I'm still
praying for Bif ****d to come down! <cough!>) We don't normally get good
gigs in SoFla, so I'm excited!
We've got a lot of new material available in the RFA Shop & digital
download
area, so here's the rundown:
Karma: If you've been listening to RFA over the past two years, you know
Karma. Originally from South Africa and the band Henry Ate, Karma-Anne
Swanpoel moved to Florida (just about the time I did!) and immediately
began
to accomplish her goal of conquering the USA. We have their entire debut
release, "Don't Walk Fly" available for only $9.99 (or 99 cents per song).
My personal favorite from this CD is "0 Miles," which Karma wrote in Key
West, staring at the Gulf of Mexico and reflecting upon her homeland, so
far
away. But we also have "And And And," still one of my all-time favorite
tracks ... a very bitter "**** you for ****ing up my life and our
relation****p" track. (Link:

)
Out Out: Out Out: Just perhaps one of the best industrial acts to come out
of the USA. We have the double-CD of "1989-1999: Hasten the Burning with
the
Breath of Fools," which features a mixture of remixes, previously released
tracks, and remastered tracks. You can download all 28 tracks for only
$9.99
or individual tracks for 99 cents each. If you're an industrial-head, you
need to buy this. If you think a combination of NIN, Skinny Puppy and
Ministry would make the greatest act of all time, you have to download
this. (Link:

Lifeblud: Two South African artists in one week? Don't ask me! But we're
pleased to bring Lifeblud to the USA. You can hear "Lost in Translation"
right now on RFA 6.14. And after you do, we're pretty sure you're going to
want to hear more. Their debut EP CD "Open" is a union of many elements
and
textures: light and dark, sharp and velvet, delicate and demanding. It
will
mesmerize you, tantalize you, make you remember and forget. (Link:

Alice's Wonder: Miami-based Alice's Wonder are an industrial act in the
truest sense of the word (and genre). We love these guys. You've probably
heard "Children of the Silence" on one of Florida showcases. Well, now you
can buy any of the tracks from their first demo CD for only 49 cents each!
Or get the whole demo CD (which includes a cunningly-named track called
"Contact") for only $3.99. (Link:

Attrition: It is my personal opinion that you can never have too much
Attrition. And just to prove it to you, we've just uploaded all the tracks
from their limited release "Eternity LP," which features all of two EPs,
"Eternity" and "Kissing a Virtual Angel." Upcoming on RFA later this week,
we have four more Attrition albums, so keep your credit card handy. This
is
one of the all-time greatest dark alternative acts. (Link:

That's it! You rock. Stay groovy. :-)
