Radio Free Abattoir is seeking writers to contribute material to the RFA
Blog (http://www.radiofreeabattoir.com/blog).
The RFA blog focuses on news
from the dark alternative (gothic, industrial, darkwave, etc.) music world
as well as "scene" re****ts and other things that would interest the
worldwide dark alternative community.
Radio Free Abattoir is the Internet's oldest and most successful, dark
alternative web cast, having achieved well over 4000 listeners per day.
The
RFA Blog is to become a main feature of the RFA site and we need writers!
As a member of the RFA Blog team, you will be added to a mailing list that
includes news from bands, labels and web sites from around the world. We
have our style guidelines, but how you write is up to you. Re-hash the
news
from a label, write a review of a new release, comment on a web site
you've
discovered, whatever. Have your own writing style. Keep it "professional,"
but not New York Times kinda-professional, capiche? It's a blog. Read my
posts or Fleshbot (http://www.fleshbot.com/)
for an example of how the
posts
should written. "Columns" are welcome.
No, this is not a paid position. We are not asking you to contribute more
than between 2-5 posts per week, depending upon what you want to write
about. However, this is a good chance to mouth off, have some fun and
garner
some professional experience (and free music and stuff).
Location is irrelevant, although we would like some South Florida
contributors. (We can take locals out for drinks & nibbles.)
