[RFA News] Listen to RFA 8.02 & read the new RFA Blog

by "Radio Free Abattoir" <radiofreeabattoir@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Jan 31, 2006 at 04:26 PM

RFA HeadQuarters: Miami Beach / 31 January 2006

Greetings from The Clevelander's main bar, where I tend to work after
sitting at my desk in my home/office for 8 hours of working. Nothing like
listening to Jane's Addiction, having a Heineken, being outside and doing
yet a little more work. :-) Lotsa news from RFA this week, and lots of new

material for you, so let's get to it! Inside this RFA newsletter:

* RFA 8.02 / free MP3s from All:My:Faults / new Attrition video / win a
Flesh-Resonance CD!
* The RFA Blog is live! (Kinda.)
* RFA Shop news. (Kinda.)
* (Slightly) New layout across the main RFA site.
* RFA sponsors the St. Valentine Masquerade Ball - Loads and loads of free

goodies!

RFA Updates: Yesterday, we uploaded and published RFA 8.02. This should
have
been online Saturday but I was having network probs from the home/office
to
the main network. This is a 2-part show and I think it's going to surprise

you with its diversity. The first part leads off with Y-Luk-O, the
German-based industrial group that we recently added to the RFA shop.
Damned
good stuff. We also are please to debut Ailanthus (who remind me a lot of
phoenix/Nebulin for those that miss p/N on the show) and Fall of Snow, who

really just make me melt. Oh my God. Good stuff. And there's also two
tracks
from Steven Severin (of Siouxsie & the Banshees): a dark, instrumental
piece
and another with his new outfit, Darling Hate.

Now, if that wasn't enough, we are very, very, very pleased to officially
debut in every sense of the word Catfish Scar, which features Johnette
Napolitano (of Concrete Blonde) and Will Crewdson (Rachel Stamp). Damned
fine stuff. Let's see what else RFA can do with this new outfit in the
coming months, shall we? ... Part 2 of the show features 20 tracks from
the
MP3 archive. Why? Well, to be honest, it was a good op to sell the
members'
service! But some of these tracks we've never played! Welcome
All:My:Faults,
The Die Kur, The Bloodsuit and say 'hello' again to bands that no longer
exist, like Angelwhore, Sneaky Bat Machine, The Horatii, Wench and more.
The
playlist for this 46-track whopper is at the bottom. Or listen now @[EMAIL PROTECTED]

from
our friends Attrition. (http://www.radiofreeabattoir.com/rfa/video.shtml)

The RFA Blog: The RFA Blog is now live! This will become your source for
dark alternative news -- gig info, band news, new releases, RFA
announements
and more. I've still got to redesign the layout, but there's already 40+
articles for you to read @[EMAIL PROTECTED]

.

RFA Shop News: We're a bit behind on adding new downloads to the shop, but

this week we'll be adding Y-Luk-O, Attrition, Miss T & the Japanese
Tourists, Flesh-Resonance & more. The last update included Y-Luk-O, Steven

Severin, Darling Hate, Ailanthus & Attrition.

RFA Site Changes: You might have noticed a slight, yet very noticeable
change to the RFA layout this week. We rolled out a new advertising server

system that basically blows my mind. If you work with a business that
would
be interested in advertising on RFA from $0.025 per click or $15 per
quarter
flat, please go to http://www.radiofreeabattoir.com/advertise.shtml
.
(Note:
we offer free advertising for industry partners: bands, labels, clubs,
DJs,
etc.)

RFA Sponsors Ritual Filth's St. Valentine Masquerade Ball: I could take up

another page telling you about this event in Newark on Feb 11th, but
instead
I'll point you here so you can read about the performances, DJs, prizes
and
all the free goodies that RFA has sent from Collide, Dance Planet X,
Snuttock, Nilaihah Records, Flesh-Resonance, Lizard Smile & more. More
