hmmm. well, i'm old & i don't care what anyone thinks of me. 
seriously, my kid is 3 & all his friends moms are probably 
mid-30s at the oldest & i'll be 50 in September <yeah, i'm a 
late bloomer<g>)
 i don't ever dress up though. the nearest club is an hour & a 
half away, & i'm anti-social. my typical wardrobe is black 
jeans & black ****rts (long or short sleeve depending on the 
weather). and no one really notices if my hair is purple or 
not. i think i'm more considered weird because i raise llamas 
than because my t-****rts all say Net.goth (or other geek sorts 
of things).
 Boo is in a Montessori preschool because there are no near 
neighbors & of the neighbors within 3 miles, no one seems to 
have kids his age. he also has SID & speech issues, which 
being around other people than family seems to help, but i 
opted out of the developmental delay preschool because it was 
dark, overcrowded & depressing. he'll be going back into 
speech & OT as soon as i can get the school district to 
cooperate (they're miffed i don't use thier school). they are 
required to provide services...
 i think you might be a bit paranoid about what the other mums 
think. if you've been there a couple years & know some of 
Tegwyn's friends parents, i don't think they'll think you too 
odd for adding lace & whatnot back into your wardrobe. 
 not much help am i? :-/
