<laughs sarcastically> wishful thinking! McDonald's and its clones reign
supreme here too. You can't escape them. I hate them too, not because I'm
a
vegetarian because that's a personal choice of mine, but because those
places promote a fattening and bad eating culture we could do without. If
my
girls will grow that way inclined, we will try to treat McDonald meals as
a
'once-in-a while' occasion... and try to have their parties at the Leisure
Centre up the road!

LOL how true!
I'm a vegetarian (but occasionally suc***b to the temptation of fish...
mmmm, can't beat a good patriotic Fish And Chips from the local chippie!
I don't try to impose my veggie choice to my daughters (plus, my husband
loves a bit of good meat) but I only buy very good cuts of meat and lean
mince, nothing cheap and nasty, well at least I try. And no chicken
nuggets
or the like, my hubby worked in a turkey factory as a student and told me
a
few of the awful things that go on in those places, uuuurgh!

I see your point, but I've given up on the teenage dream of changing the
society! I mean, I'm living here. I want to meet people, socialize,
interact. And I don't want my kids to be involved into pettiness between
parents. Example: There was this woman I met at playgroup, her daughter
and
mine are very good friends. This woman's husband is a dentist and
obviously
rich, and she made quite a few comments like she thought we were skint and
couldn't afford anything (how she got that idea is beyond me!). Obviously
I
took offence and started avoiding her, but the little girls really like
one
another and I felt it would have been unfair to keep them from playing
together.

Yes, you're right, I am paranoid!
Thanks for your useful comments Lee. Take care you and Boo.
