I'm generally bandwidth-starved as it is. Granted, not near what most
people are, but still... I can pump raw data all day. All that something
like that beast would do is encourage me to write stupid things like
building webpages that are fed line-per-line from php scripts pulling
from DB2 or some damn thing like that.

I've already got a PII system doing that. Not even overclocked and it
