No, it is best for you to apologize, beg forgiveness and swear never to
post an announcement to *any* forum ever again without confirming with
a FAQ or posted charter that such announcements are permitted. "Letting
it die" only encourages more promotion, for even less relevant things,
until this place ends up with more spam than a Yahoo mailbox. We will
not permit that.
But very few promotors will place PR in front of ego, and very few will
do what is best. That sup****ts the opinion that most promoters are
self-serving slime.
