[C15 Vote] Meta post Part II

It looks like the majority of the discussion has petered out, so here
is a synopsis of the things that people have had to say. (I really
need a spreadsheet to do this properly.)

1. MAIL-IN REGISTRATION

The response to that one appears to be unanimously in favour of
ditching it. It is henceforth ditched.

So much for the easy one.

2. THE BID COMMITTEES

a. Restricting the bid to people we "know". In other words if not
actual a.g people, then at least people within enough degrees of
seperationg that we know who they are and are able to communicate with
them.

b Going along the way we have been with the bids, and focusing on
controlling the voter population

c. A two-stage voting process where a bid has to be ratified on the ng
berfore going to vote.

3-1. HOW WE VOTE

3-2. WHO GETS TO VOTE/HOW PEOPLE GET ADDED TO THE VOTER LIST

a. a.g people only. In other words anybody can go, but we decide where
it is. Anybody who cares enough to come in and introduce themselves
gets to be on the voter list. 
i. Done on a year basis
ii. Once on the list, you stay on the list.

b. Former Convergence attendees only
i. With weighted votes (ie, somebody who attended six gets six votes,
somebody who attended one gets one vote) or
ii. One person = one vote

c. Paying to vote, with the funds going to the winning committee as
start-up money.

d. Invite codes/sponsor****ps from existing voters to add new people to
the database.

e. Bids and votes held on-site at the previous Convergence.

f. Buy a C*b*l member a drink, get on the voter list

4. THE C*B*L 
"More transparency" seems to be the main suggestion, but I'm not sure
what that means. Who does what? Will having the wiki available be
enough?
