Before I comment, yeah I'm not an active a.g poster (years ago I made
maybe 20 posts, 15 of which I'd rather forget kind of thing) although
some Boston peeps might recognize me (Cusraque found me here and
hooked me up with the old Boston.net.goth).

Enough introduction.  The reason I decided to post was to say the
added benefit part might be occurring already.  I generally talk up
Convergence on my radio show in central Texas and, in a direct
response to this thread and it predecessor, have been encouraging my
listeners to join and read a.g. (although I encouraged long lurking
before posting).  I think just getting the word out about the changes
will encourage people who are somewhat interested (the "heard of it
but haven't gone yet" types) to join a.g.

*shrugs*
Or maybe not, but I thought the fact I'm encouraging people to do so
was worth passing on.
