On the one hand, I don't really care. It does seem like the big problem
with c13 was too much of that stuff.  But on the other hand, it has
always seemed to me that *most* of the people there were usually
connected with us in some way, and that if that's not actually true,
maybe we do actually have a bigger problem than how we vote or who puts
forth bids, because that part in the mission statement about 'all our
friends' rings a whole lot less true.  Right there is where we go from
being less like a party and more like a music festival. 

Keep in mind that I'm takng word of mouth rather liberally. If a local
dj mentions it at a local club night, or if someone posts about it to a
local email list or mentions it on their myspace or whatever it is kids
do these days, I think that's awesome.  I definitely don't want to
*exclude* locals, and in fact I'd love to include them, as long as they
have an idea what kind of party they're attending, which I think is very
hard to do in ad form, even if the words 'alt.gothic' are included.
