I have CCTV footage of a North Watford resident who has twice(!)
stolen a pot of paint from me[1]. I shall put it on the global
suppository for video rubbish that is youtube once I work out
the simplest means of VHS to 'puter transfer. I don't think
stills would do it justice.
[1] To be perfectly accurate, he stole a pot containing 5 litres
of water on the second occasion - the first theft involved two
litres of Asda's finest cheapo white paint, used as a doorstop
in the hot weather and left in the yard once after the door
had been closed and I was in another building. So shocked was I
by this purloining - despite the area being a festering heap of
trashy humankind - that I replaced it with a paint pot of water
and left my homebrew CCTV kit running. The water was pinched
the same day - by a miscreant much older than I had expected
- and he took his time looking at the pot before deciding it
was worth nicking! Cheeky bastard! It was Dulux! The pot at
least, content courtesy of Thames Water.
Pot no. 2 was at various points going to contain old nappies,
or fine selection of putrefying cat victims. He was lucky it
was only water...
